Ms. Laura Cristina Rivera Sorrentini obtained a B.A. in History of Art, Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, and a Juris Doctor, from the Pontificial Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she was a member of the Asociación Nacional de Estudiantes de Derecho. Ms. Rivera Sorrentini is admitted to practice before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Upon graduating from law school, she worked as an Associate at Bufete Ramirez & Ramirez, where she began gaining experience in civil and criminal litigation cases. Since working with GLS Legal Services, LLC she has gained a vast experience drafting diverse types of contracts, legal memoranda and motions. She attended criminal hearings, protection order hearings and family law civil litigation matters including divorce proceedings, child support matters, and custody matters representing said clients.
Ms. Rivera has an ample experience in representing financial institutions preparing the documents required to execute reverse mortgage loan, mortgage loans and the diverse types of loss mitigation modification of loans. In having this type of exposure, advising and representing financial institutions, she has developed an extensive knowledge of all the special requirements needed to perfect mortgage collaterals. She has the necessary background to be able to carry forward any and all type of estate issues before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Ms. Rivera Sorrentini is a member of the Asociación de Notarios de Puerto Rico, and is affiliated to the Mortgage Bankers Association of Puerto Rico.
